Kenyan Cooking Classes

Learn to cook traditional Kenyan dishes in our cooking class in Kochia village or Mombasa Kenya! This unique experience is only available through Travel Therapy Tours and directly benefits the amazing women and children you will meet during the class. 

Guests will all learn to make 

Chiapatti: a traditional flat bread served with breakfast or dinner 

Kenyan chai: Kenyan black tea served every morning for breakfast made with milk and a bit of sugar. 

Ugali: A starchy dish that is the base of most meals. 

And your choice of 

Nyama Choma: Grilled beef a Kenyan favorite 

Kuku: Grilled chicken (Kochia participants may be involved in the slaughtering of the chicken if they choose)

Mchicha: A type of Kenyan spinach cooked with onions and tomatoes

Sukuma Wiki: Collard greens mixed with onions 

Omena: A sardine that's caught in Lake Victoria and dried and cooked, a delicacy of the Luo people.
